Hi!

I tried the crack provided, but it doesn't work. I follow the steps but the service doesn't want to start. is there any trick with the licence.dat file? (host name...)

Has anyone tried this under Vista x86 Home edition?

Thanks for the reply

Thing is that when I use the License manager to setup the license, I entrered the path to each 3 applications: lmgrd, license and debug. Then when I go to the tab to launch the service, I get a "launch service failed". Idem for "stop the service" and "reread the license"

When I run the program for the first time, I am asked to specify the license, then I select "Specify the License Server (Floating License), and type "localhost", but nothing! It returns to the same menu.

Never been successful to start the license on both ERDAS and ARCGIS on a VISTAS HOME (3 tests on different computers). But still, it works on a XP PRO (tested my self and yourself). I think there is a problem with VISTA or the home edition of windows.

If you have any idea?!

PS: let's try on Se7en ;-)

of course. you cant do this, since your license service isn't running.

hem, i guess we need to update the crack license manager to VISTA support. although normal license manager brought to you by the software are vista support (arcgis and erdas). but i doubt bout the crack itself (lmgrd.exe, erdas.exe or arcgis.exe)are vista support. i'll search for some info

back later,

HI!

Ok if I can help solving the problem, I get the same error message on both Vista Home Premium x86 and Vista Ultimate x64. Sorry don't have Vista Ultimate x86 right under my hand!

Here it is, after a "server Status inquiry"

--------

FLEXlm error: -15,570. System Error: 10035 "WinSock: Operation would block"

Any thing comes to you?!

To be continued...

Thanks a lot!

Deep search lead me to that:

(4/10/2008) With the release of a Vista-compatible license manager update, ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 and LPS 9.2 fully support Microsoft Windows Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate editions (not Vista Home). The updated license manager is posted at Home > Support > Fixes & Enhancements > ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2. This license manager can serve licenses for ERDAS IMAGINE and LPS versions 9.2, 9.1, 9.0, and 8.7. As of this date, NVIDIA stereo drivers are not available for Vista. Only download and install it if you wish to serve floating licenses on a Vista-based computer.

Do you know the link between NVIDIA stereo drivers and ERDAS??? Can't get it...

So... It should works!

PS: I will never let down, since 7 is going to be released and I don't want XP to be my only option for ERDAS.

Ok! That works finally fine!!!

Vista users should install ERDAS, then this fix:

Please login or register to download
or
Use full direct 100Mbit downloader

(you can also find it at http://gi.leica-geosystems.com/LGISub2x524x0.aspx in section Home > Support > Fixes & Enhancements > ERDAS IMAGINE 9.2 . Login and fix #1)

Apply crack and everything works perfectly!

I guess 9.3 version should work great on VISTA, but a new kind of license manager appears... Maybe a new crack is needed. So W&S.

Cheers Lordi!

Hi guys

I have managed to get the license manager for 9.2 to run in Windows 7 64 bit (therefore Vista 64 as well). It took a little hacking from my side but it works. It also works for Arcgis 9.2.

I use the cracks that are available on the internet

I dont use the licence manager at all but a script that runs the lmgrd as a command line script. I also use a vbs script called runnhide.vbs to hide the command line. One can adapt the script to run in Vista 32 bit

I know it is a bit of a schlepp, but at least it works.

You just need to run the script once (when your computer starts for instance) and then you can use ERDAS Imagine 9.2

If anyone wants the script, pop me a message and I will email it.

Hi guys, bit of a newb here. Ho do I upload here? Or do I need to put it on rapidshare etc?

Gillous

Gillous 23 Sep 2009, 14:19 #

Yes, Rapidshare or something that looks like it! Try first to upload/download it, in case some Anti-virus' ring the bell for your script... They hate exotic script files.

See you!

Hi guys.

The download link is

Please login or register to download
or
Use alternative download link

As said in the instructions the batch files are for x64 systems. Edit the erdas.bat and arcgis.bat files and remove all entries to (x86) to have it run on x86 systems.

You can use any of the cracks for Erdas 9.2 and Arcgis 9.2 available on the net.
