23 May 2009, 13:29

Download

Hi guys, after getting tired of nodlogin from Ulisessoft, we decided to make our own ESET thingy.

Made by the Nodster, matt and me, Damian666 for asta
we made it under The Damned Crew nick.

it works simular to Nodlogin, but updates from internet pages.
so no trouble with the server being down and crap

check it out.

Nodabler GUI is located here

new pictures will follow .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NodEnabler 3.4.1

Changes:
+Recompiled with a later version of AutoIt (didn't change any code) and now the problem of NodEnabler replacing the license every time it gets run is gone.

Use the update facility in provided in 3.4 or get it from one of these servers:

I tested NODEnabler on Windows 7 RC 7100 64Bits, here are some feedbacks:

1) NODEnabler 3.0 works fine
2) NODEnabler 3.1 keeps looking for license saying they are all invalid
3) NODEnabler 3.2 says there is no ESET software installed

Hope it will help for developing :)

Thanks a lot. I'm using NodEnabler 3.1 with no problems at all.

Great job.

@provolino: I use 3.1 with Win7 RC and experience the same issue as you do, but if ran under compatibility mode, it works fine.

Thanks salamance I'll try that :)

The strange thing is that older version (3.0) works better than newer one :P

(I don't know if forcing apps in compatibility mode can create side effects)

hey,

I am using XP, and everything was fine with v3.1 till today. Eset Smart Security gave invalid username and pass error, i used nodenabler to find a new username and password. But it said no valid licenses downladed. Even tho it downloads username and passes at verifying section it says none of them are valid.

My Eset Smart Security version is 4.0.424.0

is there a solution for the problem?

thanks

that means it doesn't reach the eset servers, just try again later, then it works ^^

it happens when its busy on their servers, not our fault :p

It keeps saying that no valid licenses were found. How do I fix it? Are you sure it ESET's side fault? When entering the Username/PASS manually from nod321.com it works and updates the virus database...

yes i am sure, when the servers cant be reached, the program cant validate them, thus saying its not valid.
thats all there is to it, and yes jofre, still working on it mate ^^

Hey everyone. I'm not dead, and the Feds haven't found me and taken my computer! I know it's been ages since I've posted here, been busy with alot of things over the past month or so. Got exams coming up soon, but I'll have some time to work on NodEnabler in a couple of weeks (maybe sooner). I've already added a registry option to use one or two ESET servers for checks (fast or reliable), allow the user to specify license sites to use, and removed the need for a separate debug version with a registry setting. Will write the stuff needed to configure all this nicely later. It looks like I've also fixed the "all licenses invalid" error, but I can't be sure without testing it further. I'll keep an eye on the forum, so post feature requests if you like and I'll see what I can do. I should have a new release out within a month.

Great to see this still going, and thanks for all the use I've had out of it.

I've just installed 3.1 for the first time, and I chose the option to run it on network connection. But it checks quite frequently while I am connected, which I don't need. Is it possible to stop this? Ta..

@matt1553 :

Good to know you didn`t let us behind. Glad to know you still intend to work on a good utility for ESET fanatics users like myself. Also wish you good luck with y/exams (school exams I think).

I have a question : are you all working together »»» @matt1553, @damain666 and @nodster on this new release ?

All the best ! ;)

@aartist - Open the Windows task scheduler, go to the library, then find NodEnabler in the list and right click and select properties. Click on the triggers tab and select the trigger listed then click edit. In the window that pops up there's some options to modify how frequently the task gets repeated (if at all). Once you're done modifying, OK all the windows and close the scheduler. Thinking I might give the user the option to modify that with the settings manager in the next release.

Will be working with Damian and Nodster on the next release when I get a chance to get on MSN and have some time.

well, seeying this app is made by me first, then it took nodster to get me the decode and register stuff.
and after that matt took it to level 9000 :p

so, we are allready working on this together, maybe not at the same time, but still together :)

Level 9000... Nice :D
Exactly as Damian said, most of what makes the program work was created by Damian and Nodster before I came on the scene. I just figured out how to make it work with V4 self-defense on, and made it a bit more user friendly and feature packed by modifying what they'd already done.
We try working on it together at the same time when we can, just a bit hard to do sometimes when you're in different timezones and it's all done over the internet. All still contributing to it whenever we can though.
