Normally when it is sent by pm the contest is closed but when polling arrives it becomes open.
Entries are sent by pm so that other participants don't who did what when polling arrive

Exactly right JM-DG We have had some public style comps recently where people have commented and reworked their images, but I think that it is sometimes nice to have the suprise of seeing everyones work, and guessing who's entry belongs to who
Entries will close on 31st October at 24:00 GMT, however to be honest I have chosen this time for dramatic effect if you were to submit it early the next day, I wouldn't complain
I'm not sure what you mean by an open contest? All results will be posted when the comp is over and a poll will be held.

open contest i mean after receive all the entry up to cut off date,
it would be publish in forum without sender name like img1..2..3etc
and members will poll without knowing the senders name and lastly
after poll the name will be declared..that i mean.it will be interesting..

Ok guys, for me it's a bad time.
I lost everything from my hard drive (programming, music, composition, pictures, homework, texts, programs, etc...) In short I lost 3 years of my life. Computer works being my job it is as if I lost my job with all the money I made (or could have made).

I believe it is an attack from somebody.
I had a backup of my HD but my sister took the HD which has my backup some days ago for her own computer & wiped everything. I try now to restore as much files as I can.
If you guys have any tips/help

I'm not sure I'll be able to participate to this comp.
I have a big homework to give next monday (in which I worked for 3 weeks now) and lost everything today.

elow bro jm...not nice to hear that had have happened to you...did you try hard drive recovery? dont know other resources...hope you can still retrieve your year long efforts....try to ask my friends any suggestions regarding recovering files from your hd...good luck bro...no worry....
