Installation NFO:

MicroStation V8 XM Edition Prerequisite Pack needs to be installed first.

1. install MicroStation itself and reboot if necessary
2. Extract Patch.rar into ...\MicroStation\
3. execute patcher.bat (doubleclick it)
4. Run MicroStation (it will ask for activation within 30 days), skip connection
5. Run Licence tool from menu, "Utilities | Licence Management"
6: Press OK on first dialog, Press cancel on next dialog.
7. In the license management window tool, use "File | Import" and browse to license.xml in ...\MicroStation\. It should say "License Import Succeeded"
8. "Failed to retrieve a list of available licenses" is a normal message. You dont need any.

**** Always remember to block applications (or go off line) from calling home 'during install'.
Once installed, disable 'check for automatic updates' option if available, so that you don't get it blacklisted.
