I also have the same question but I think Tally is the best in India and most user friendly and compatible for all IT related adjustments. Only problem about Tally is that they launch all different versions without enough testing and each release has a bug here or there.

Yes it works for India. Sage has an office in Delhi, provides support but the software is very costly.
