To convert Data to its Previous release e.g. Tally ERP 1.1 (The only crack for Tally ERP Available) you should follow the following procedure
1.copy your Data to Existing Tally erp Data directory
2. Open Tally (Dont open any company) if automatically opened, press Alt+F1 & Select Company to close.
3. At Main Menu Press Ctrl+Alt+R (Rewrite Menu)
4. Select the company & Press Confirmation 'Y' to proceed
5. After completing process, Your data of the company is converted to lower Release.
Same way you can convert ERP's Data to Tally 9 by same procedure.
Some settings / data options of Taxation will not be available in lower version but Accounting will be OK.

A simple method to reactivate tally erp 9 v.1.81 to v.2.0 If you are formatted the disk or crashed o.s. The condition is the trail period may not be expired.
1. Install Tally erp 9 the version you have
2. Open the tally as administrative
3. Go to control center tab and click
4. Type your email Id and pass word which you have activated
5. In the next screen select the tally serial number and click
6. Then surrender license and close tally and reboot the system
7. Now open the tally in administrative level and choose as reactivate tally
8. You are asked for your email id and pass word fill it
9. Now you will see that your tally is activated successfully

some advance user may try removing registry of tally erp.

(i.e. you have to do following, start => Run => type regedit =select "hkey_local_machine" => press "ctrl+f" => then type "tally" => first backup registry by exporting it to your backup folder => then delet it=> clean the system with cc cleaner + advance windows care or registry mechanic [google it or download this from pirate bay .com] or some other registry & junk file cleaner softwares.)

then try reinstall & check if above procedure works.

but it is highly recomonded for advance user, your OS may get crash if u do something wrong, TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK)

Some suggestions to tally users using run as date
1.Tally erp 9.2 or any version will definitely run after its expiry or 90 days by using run as date
2.Do not use the migration tool if the software is using beyond its expiry
3. This tool will reset the date of tally to its original date of expiry and you may not use the
Tally software even you will run through run as date software. So be aware

Yes I have followed the method of surrendering of license and re-activating tally after my fresh
installation
I am using the latest version of stat 123 series a release 2.0
The software itself remind you automatically when ever the the new stat released
download the new stat and replace with old one

hi i was use tally erp9 1.82 after 90days its came in educational mode i was uninstall it and again install but it not work now i install tally erp9 1.1 but its not working its require at least 4 ver.of tally erp so please any one help me as soon as possible

good job, your method of converting to old data works very well in erp version but if ur data is paasword protected then it wont work in tally 9. (will only work in any version of erp 9.

if any one can't use latest tally erp then download it from pirate bay or demonoid.com , erp 9.1 version.

then use below method suggested by Panka, which really works. so no matter if ur latest tally is not operational.

method u will try is not 100% sure.

still following is solution to remove tally completly.

remove tally from add remove software. (it will be better if u can use revo uninstaller)

then remove junk registry with cc cleaner, / advanced system care/ comodo registry cleaner / registry mechanic (comodo is free, download it from www.download.com)

then click"start" type "regedit" in search bar if u r using xp /vista / or win 7.


click on "hkey_local_machine"


press F3

type "tally", hit enter

before deleting (export registry by => opeing file then click "export", save to your destination.

then delet the string of tally.

try at your own risk, it's dangerous, if ur system dont starts again then try runing it from safe mode & then double click on exported registry.

plz some one help me to activate tally.erp 9
for 1st time when i tried to activate tally using promotional code it works very fine, i was tried it 3 months ago. after some weeks for some reasons i have to format my pc. after formating pc and installing a new windows when i tried to activate tally (even with a new e-mail id) it says "Could not activate! You Cannot use rental serial number on this machine. please contact tally solutions for further assistance. Error Code: 6244 " as shom in linked image

I have the solution to problem of reinstalling Tally even if the date has expired or if some pone is trying to re-install Tally again on same machine.The most important data copied by Tally is MAC address. So you have to change the MAC address of the machine or simply change the Network card, use new mail ID,before that you can do all those things like removing with Revo, cleaning registry etc.It should work

Not the MAC ID is a problem. The problem is tally notes and remembers hard disk no.

I do not agree with harpalsingh. At the time of activating rental trial tally inspects and absorbs the processor type and number not the MAC address or Hard disk or Motherboard. I have personally tried by replacing the processor and got the positive result.

-Open tally
-Don't Open Any Company, if already opened automatic, then close with Alt+F
-Press Ctrl+Alt+R
-Select the Corrupt Company & Press Enter
-Confirm 'Y' to rewrite Data.
-after complete the Data Please check the problem solved?
-If satisfactory, please leave message for community!

I have used method of Pakau as mentioned but still problem is not solved.

for ur prob take a backup of ur data first and copy it safely
1. Delete *.tsf files in ur data folder
2. then in run command type ur tally path
EG:(D:\tally.erp9\tally.exe d:\tally.erp9\data -0)
3. it will open tally in edit mode from the gateway type ctrl+alt+r
4. select the company having prob
5. data will be rewritten
6. check the datafolder all the deleted *.tsf will be recreated
7. check the day book for ur data and verify any data loss

Nope. i totally dont agree with the thing that it notes the hard drive or the processor number.
i m using this rental license over 9 months by now. and every three months what i just do is.

1. Format my Laptop.
2. install windows 7 or xp (the same version which was already installed before)
3. use different PC name and username.
4. FIRST - Install Technitium Mac Address Changer 5.0 Release 3.(if tally installed before - it notes the MAC Address Original)
5. Change the MAC Address with LAN Connectivity (i.e LAN Cable Attached and Connected to Laptop or Computer).
6. THEN Install Tally ERP 2.1 Build 9.
7. Then use the rental activate.
8. Yippie i m done.

I Didnt change my Processor or my HDD. just changed the MAC and Windows. Just used new PC name and username. (Tried with new windows installed and same username and PC name - It didnt help for me).

For people with error message of 6242 ie your rental period expired on 01.01.1970 - you may not be activating the Tally via LAN. and you just changed the MAC address without any LAN Connectivity i.e No LAN Cable connected and MAC changed via TMAC Changer. Try connecting the LAN cable and then change the MAC address and activate using LAN and not via wifi or DATA Card. That will help.

Your are right but when my pc format after then tally required activation after 90 days actually there is no any complete reference like that Mr.Plantra he is father of all Tally Crackers but unfortunately he disappear for a long time his last tally.erp release 9.1 bilu 189 but now tally release ver3.0 more to more features including so we are find to complete satisfaction.
