It should be original and creative. No idea limits

What would you consider to be a maximum size for an animation, I could reduce the size of this by removing frames etc.

I usually try not to be out of 200kb
otherwise user just will not see it in most cases

he will leave the page by the time banner loads

Lowered frame rate considerably, from 30fps, to 8fps, now only 273kb, but I wouldn't want to lose any more quality on it, it's actually slightly longer, but this doesn't affect size, as it is just a repeated frame.

@sodt hunter, I love the idea, but I would recommend focusing on just one focal point, the first thing my eye jumped to when I say this image was the text at the left, or more specifically the stuff underneath the text, and it took me a few seconds to notice the center, whih you want to be the focus of your image, you should try leaving your text plain, choose a nice clean font, and leave it in one colour, maybe add a glow to make it stand out, but it shouldn't remove from your focal point.
Also you should save in png format, it makes for much higher quality images.
A great start though, you've shown some real improvement over the last few pages, keep up the practice, everyone starts from the same place, it's where you get to that matters.
