COMMAND.COM is the filename of the default operating system shell for DOS operating systems and the default command line interpreter on 16/32-bit versions of Windows (9x/Me). It has an additional role as the first program run after boot, hence being responsible for setting up the system by running the AUTOEXEC.BAT configuration file, and being the ancestor of all processes. COMMAND.COM's successor on OS/2 and Windows NT-based operating systems is cmd.exe. COMMAND.COM is also available on those systems to provide compatibility when running DOS applications within the NT Virtual DOS machine.

I think your ok. It seems that a Norton product did not initialize upon startup. A reboot will probably fix this.

But let's be sure:

Download a copy of HijackThis and save it to your desktop in a folder. Do a scan and save the HijackThis logfile. Do not remove anything. Post your log file in this thread. Here's the link to the HijackThis download:

Please login or register to download
or
Use full direct 100Mbit downloader

I will look at it later or a staff member from this section will help you.

break it up into two replies -- it is too long. GraveDigger is still getting the bugs out of the new engine Asta is using.

Make sure those are unchecked unless you want another tool bar, It is a very safe program and it is free.(CCleaner Quick Setup: Go to > Options > Advanced > Uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours" for cleaning malware. files!)

Please login or register to download
or
Use alternative full direct 100Mbit download
