so here goes, i have an emachines ETI331G-03w running windows7 home premium 64-bit AMD Athlon II x2 235e Dual-Core processer 750 Gig HDD 6 Gigs of DDR2 memory with an integrated NVIDIA GeForceS6150 nforce 430 video graphics as i it is integrated. A friend of mine gave me what i believe to be an ATI N625 video card that i believe came out of a dell with XP Pro on it and i was hoping if you could tell me by installing this video card will it decrease my graphics capability or would i be better off with the integrated NVIDIA I would greatly appreciate any input you have or if you could find out from another expert you are in contact with i have exhausted many searches without success please find it in your heart to help me solve my quandary and as always.....thanx in advance

Would need more information as to which ATI N625 video card you have there, as they produced many differant chipsets and for many differant companies.

Dont think you will get any improvement in either graphic cards. They are both outdated and were made for web browsing, Office etc..

Integrated Graphics sucks, as they are part of the chip on the mobo. So conclusion is: Stay with what you got, and when you want to play games...buy a new computer.

The rule of thumb is that using the integrated graphiv=cs card is using some of the prcessing power of the onboard procesor and at the same time using a portion of the installed RAM. Whereas with todays graphics cards they have their own dedicated procesor and memory. I would say go out and buy a new graphics card, there are some good ones for under £50.00. That would also make sure that it is windows 7 compatable. Hope this helps.
