i need an assistance, who knows fixed my problem, when i click turn off button windows xp,windows cannot off but windows always restart. can u help me please or any suggestion to solve my problem,my laptop already format for two time,but still have a same problem.

are you using desktop or laptop? If desktop then do one thing and see if problem is solved. change the cmos battery. is is situated on the motherboard and is of coin type shape.

it is not your software problem but hardware problem.

condition remains same. please check the cmos battery. as I told you it is not software problem as you stated that xp is a clean install so there is no concern of virus. but remember some time virus also cause such a problem.
