Log looks pretty good. You have one entry that is suspect:

Please login or register to download
or
Direct Download at 100Mbit

It's a service that is running that looks bad. To get rid of it, you will have to go into safe mode and fix the entry using HJT.

But it should not be causing your problem.

Well, you isolated the problem... It is the driver.

But I think you may have something different going on (not sure). Let's try this:

Check if the "Base Video" is uncheck.

Here's how:

1. Go to start menu
2. Go to Accessories
3. Select run
4. Type

msconfig

5. Select the boot tab
6. "Base Video" (uncheck it)

If that doesn't work:

Try rolling back the driver using the device manager.

Here's a quick synopsis:

Rolling Back a Questionable Device Driver

Getting back to the previous driver for any device is really easy. While there are a lot of ways to get to the properties for a particular device, here's one way. (This assumes you have your Control Panel set to the new Category View in Windows XP.)

1. Click on Start and select Control Panel.
2. Click on Performance and Maintenance.
3. Click on See basic information about your computer to bring up the System Properties dialog.
4. Click on the Hardware tab.
5. Click on the Device Manager button to bring up the Device Manager.
6. Right-click on the problem device and select Properties. If the device is not working, it will likely appear with a red X in the middle of the icon, as shown below.
7. Click on the Driver tab and then click Roll Back Driver. Accept as appropriate and required. If a system reboot is required, your computer will prompt you.

If you are still running into problems:

Could be sound card driver... my sound is "on board" meaning it is integrated into my motherboard.. no card for sound in the PCI (or PCIe) slot. Video usually has sound as well. Update motherboard drivers and see if that helps.

oh and did you try the suggestions for completely getting rid of your video card driver ... and then reinstalling them?

I think your problem is bad/conflicting software.
