General TalksSoftware and Hardware Discussionabout virus...

i just wanted to ask if it's possible to inject virus on an uploaded file? for example, before i post on new release, i always check on the file if it's infected or not with virus.. i always scan with virustotal or with my own antivirus ( kaspersky & microsoft essential). but after a few days of posting someone would comment that my post has virus.. then i would check the file again and indeed it has virus, kaspersky wouldn't even allow me to download the file.. so is it possible to have virus after uploading? is someone doing this on purpose? or is it the antivirus' mistake? can anyone answer me please... please help..

dear, every thing is possible but the above instance is not existent till so far. but yes, antivirus manufacturers are always on the continuous course of updating the signature/data base of virus and it may be possible that at the time of upload few of the upload contents were not in the virus signature base but latter of those were added so later antivirus was showing virus in the upload.

have a nice day.
