Developer's HeavenHelp on making delphi form

EDIT: I've just found a tutorial on making an alpha blended splash screen, I'm not sure I understand what's going on, but it works now, I'll post the final version soon!!

Hello all, am hoping someone can help me make this form for a little app I'm making. I have just got a tablet pc, and there is a little feature in windows called pen flicks, where you flick your pen, and it permoforms a key stroke, e.g. I have set it up so that flicking it to the left does ctrl+c and the right does ctrl+v, i.e. copy/paste. It is also possible, by using desktop shortcuts, to make it launch apps with a pen flick. However you are limited to 8 directions(l,r,u,d and the diagonals) and I would like to be able to do a bit more, so my idea was that I would make an extended group of buttons that would open with a pen flick, from which I could select more actions. I have got so far a method of making the form appear on a pen flick, and centred on the mouse, and I have set it up so you can see how I want it to look, but the problem is that the form has a grey background :( and I can't work out how to remove it, I think it may involve window layering, but I have read lots, and seen lots of tutorials, but I can't get it to work, so I was wondering if someone could help me. Also I don't know if this is possible, but I would also like to replace the buttons with something a bit more transparent, I was thinking to use either png or alpha blended bmp, if anyone has any experience using these with delphi, could you point me towards some good resouces/tutorials, so I can make it slightly better looking. Thanks tobyb
This is what I have so far, not much, but apart from the look, I am pretty confident I can work the rest, this just shows the basics of how it all comes together.
