guys, i've been wondering why my PC is getting slower and slower...

i know my PC is not that of the latest trend but i believe it shouldnt be so slow

when i play online games(yeah i play online 3D games) Cabal Online(PH) to be Specific, i noticed that my PC starts to get slow, this hadnt happen before, and i know my PC can handle this game quite well coz the system requirements of the game are all matched up to my PC's Specs,if not i can say my PC is OVER the requirements needed for the game, so it shoudnt have any problem

my PC have:

OS : WINDOWS XP SP2
INTEL CORE 2 QUAD CPU(2.40GHZ)
1GB RAM
512MB Video Card(NVIDIA GEFORCE 8500GT)
160GB HDD

AFAIK, these shouldnt be a problem
but i observed the pagefile my PC consumes when i play is almost 996MB
i cant seem to know the problem...

first of all dump eset and shut off most of your programs when playing games.
second download XP REPAIR PRO found on here and i bet you will find a lot of errors on your computer.
on my system i run
norton anti virus
CCleaner
xp pro repair
pagedefrag
diskcleaner
defrag by obit
glary utilities

my computer is a P4 2 gig with two 512 sticks and after running those daily my computer flies.

sounds like you have a lot of junk files and left over junk and spyware on there
try those first and see what happens.

i run java 6 update 7 only and dont let it update.all the new versions of java are just horrid and i refuse to use them

never turn off the java auto update, its recommended. In my case I removed the tools bar like yahootoolbar and Veoh Web Player Video Finder toolbar first. if u don't need just uninstall it(at this time plz remove it) then download superAntispyware, install it update. then login to safemode full scan with antivirus and superantispyware.
log in to normal mode, run hijackthis then post the new log with system overall condition.
