MiStEr_X and I have discussed some guidelines for the profiles of users. Please try to accommodate this for requests and your own profiles. It will help the dial-up users in the long run and help standardize the forum. This is still subject to change. Thank you.

16.User Profiles:
Avatars & Signatures total amount of image size combined must not exceed 175kb and may not contain IP monitoring resources.
We also would prefer for the user to keep the avatar size less than 140px wide and 200px long and the signature to be 504px wide x 169px long or less (This means one main image per avatar and signature not exceeding the specified sizes).
We will remove avatars and signatures at our discretion.

In an effort to create an open enviornment where members feel safe to share their works, here are a few rules:

1. Do not put members down for sharing their artwork. Everyone is at different skill levels and not everyone is a pro. Flaming or making accusations against another member will not be tolerated on this forum. If you have a problem with a particular member, or their works, please contact either mrsowl, Barrie, Mynes, or me.

2. Never rip someone's artwork. This means taking someone else's art and saying it is yours... If it is not yours, please give credit. The only exception is when a sig, avatar, or logo is created specifically for you. In which case, credit to the one who made it is optional.

3. Use the sub-forums! This means that if you would like members to comment on your design, use the "GFX Chat & Contests" sub-forum and post a new topic.

4. Never cheat in any way. Often, there are contests. If you are caught with multiple accounts, you will automatically get disqualified and could risk your account. In the past, members have been banned.

5. Do a search before posting. Many times, what you want to share, is already posted. In which case, you can post a mirror on the original thread. As a result, searches for your share will be found more easily later on.

There are two new sub-forums in GFX.

The first is OS Related GFX ... for Screensavers, wallpapers, icons, skins, fonts, themes, & software that changes your O/S Appearance.


The second is GFX Tutorials ... for learning how to make GFX.

All products of that are use to make GFX should be posted in GFX-ing and Visual Arts main forum. For example, Adobe Photoshop CS2, CS3 Photoshop Elements, Pluggins, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Coral Painter, and Jasc Paint Shop Pro

If you do not post in the correct forum your post WILL BE deleted
