Wassup peeps
The graphics are (officially) getting started for me now. lol...
I have 2 class this quarter and I have covered/am covering color theory, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Encore, and some other little stuff (I got a 30 minute crash course in character staging for storyboards with 3dsMAX).
Anyway, amidst things here and there I made a new avatar and siggy, what do ya think?
...OK, here's the swf end to a group project in class. It's a Doritos commercial, and yes... I did the narration. It was slightly modified though.

Looks good MMz! Nice picture layering but i would try less blur and pattern overlay on it Missing a bit of definition and the color are too faded.
Nice work tho |

Alrighty then, cut out some extra layer effects on the sig and avatar and changed the font to something a little easier on the eyes. lol
How about these versions now?...

A lot better. They look so clean. Maybe you could try slightly upping the Exposure on that turquoisey bit on the far right of the sig. |

Thanks Dack
The "turquoisey thing" on the right is already at full exposure. The original image looked the same way, I just cropped out the part I wanted from it.
Most of the clean look was me finally using the pen tool decently. lol. Once you learn how to do it well, you tend not to hate the pen as much...
...that said though, I still hate the pen tool.
OH! It's hard to miss since know it's there, but is the "MMZ" in the sig still fairly noticeable at first glance? |

I never noticed it before, now you point it out though, I see it. It's not very noticeable mind. |

| I like this, you've done a great job with it. I feel as though it has improved alot as well from the original version, which is always an important process. With the text, it is almost invisible unless you know it's there, with text you usually have two options, to blend the text into the image, or have it stand out on its own, I think for this image you should have let the text be a feature in itself, the rest of the image is very busy (in a good way) so trying to subtly tie in text will lead to it getting lost, so far the image is very soft, the way you decorate your text should contrast this, but also complement it, this isn't easy to get right, but it can transform a great image, like this, to an increadible one. |
