I think tattoos are pretty cool but personally I would have trouble committing to one, I would worry that I would regret my choice in 5 or 10 years.
There are so many young women in their 20s who get the lower back tattoo, affectionately nicknamed the "Tramp Stamp". lol. Though I thought at one time that it was kind of a neat place to get a tattoo, I have to wonder now why a woman would get inked there when it's got such an unpleasant nickname. hmmm... |

The best advice is that you should be damn sure what you want, and where you want to tatoo it before you start.
Cheap and nasty means just that when it comes to tatoos.
Find a reputable/respected tatoo artist and go through his/her portfolio to see if you like their style.
Check out a few tatoo artists before you decide, and try use an original design.
Good luck and enjoy |

I couldn't stress this advice enough
If possible see if you can find someone who has gotton a tatt from the tattooist before....also its important to remember that while someone might have gotten a good tatt from a certain shop, you'll need to find out if there is more than one tattooist working there and find out which one is more suited for your tattoo design.
I've got a few tatts, but there all big... half arm, 3quarter arm and a back job. In the process of inkin in the bottom half of my arm.
On my forarm i have started off gettin a tatt from this bloke:

I love tattoos... on OTHER people! I have this thing about pain, like I can tolerate it (quite well, actually; think, c-section w/o epidural), but I don't go looking for it! So, I have no tattoos, no piercings, not even my ears!
An ex-boyfriend of mine had the coolest one I've ever seen; it was the profile of an American Indian chief on the back of his shoulder blade. It was done by his full-blooded Cherokee great grandfather, the old-fashioned way. |

Yep, those are the two important factors of cost and the size and detail of the tattoo can end up making your tattoo pricey.
I was wondering anybody got any Stencil's of "Skull" , "Skulls" , "Grim Reaper" that would be awesome. |

I just got a tattoo today, here is some pictures they aren't great quality pictures but...
[Edited]
by the way it cost me $160 it is pretty large and I think it has a fair amount of detail and the place I went to their starting price is $80
Skull with horns with lot's of shade in it and like tubes or something coming out of it's head and it has random rays coming out of it for no reason but I like it.

I've got two. Giant skull in upper right of my back, and reaper on right shoulder. Ask for pix if interested. Both were inspired by works found @
