I think the problem is due to flash plugin.

Run IE from here and see whether you get any crashes.

Start menu-Accessories-System Tools-Internet Explorer(no add-ons)

It runs flawlessly without add-ons, although the problem is the flash plugin due to bugs..

check whether adobe has any updates for their flash plugin.

Do you use any other browser ?

Disable or uninstall the flash plugin.

Tools>Manage Addons>Toolbars and Extensions (on the left)

Highlight the Flash Plug in and click on the disable button (bottom right)

Restart your browser.

I only have Internet Explorer 8.0, looks as if the problems are getting worse.

By doing this you can switch back to IE 7. [I think IE 8 has some problems]

Click on Windows Internet Explorer 8, and then click Remove.

The computer will revert to Internet Explorer 7 and previously installed Internet Explorer 7 security updates.
