Original Description:
This is the Best Buy geek squad repair disc - Code Name
MRI - for internal use only, confidential, and a trade
secret. This is version 5.0.0.0 - the latest version. The
disc has tools to help fix computers - it has AntiVirus,
AntiSpyware, Disk Cleaner, Process List, Winsock Fix, etc,
all in an attractive and quite usable interface!
The system has 4 major "processes": Optimization, Automation Tools, OS Utilities, Notes.
Optimization: This includes a Temporary File Cleaner and a Startup Manager. The Temporary File Cleaner cleans off all temporary files, including files that were "deleted" from the Recycle Bin. the Startup Manager categorizes all the startup items into different categories, so that you know where the processes belong. then you can delete entries which seem foreign to you (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AMATEURS)
Automation Tools: This only includes F.A.C.E. (Facilitates Accuracy, Consistency and Efficiency). FACE allows the user to run complete diagnostic checks on the PC and has 3 parameters; On-Site Agent(balances speed and effectiveness--this is for when you, the technician, visits the client at their location), Precinct Agent(for a completely thorough investigation of the system--when the client's PC is in your possession), Repair Centre Agent(for Diagnostics only--just to see what the problems are). then you go to the High Level Configuration screen, to configure everything else. One of the tools used is a L.A.S.E.R. scanner which is comprised of: Kaspersky AV, Panda AV, TrendMicro HijackThis, McAffee, System Analyzer, Spyware Doctor, A-Squared and Ewido. Apart fro the LASER scanner, it performs hardware diagnostics and it defragments the hard disks a well as the registry hives. It also checks for replications of files that may be a result of replicating infections. it runs diagnostic tests on every component (motherboard, cpu, chipsets NB+SB).
OS utilities: This allows you to view all the running processes on the system and to terminate all that you think are unnecessary(NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AMATEURS). It also contains an F-Mod tool that allows you to modify your disks and to run a command prompt from different disks as well as removal media (CDs as well). There is a FFS (Frequent Fixes and Solutions) section with a vast number of things to diagnose and get info on. And there's also an uninstall tool, to uninstall stubborn programs.
Notes: This just shows all the tasks that the program has completed so far.
This program has some options at the beginning of FACE, to choose whether you want an automatic restart, manual restart or normal mode. When you restart, the program starts automatically before Windows so no permission problems arise.

this is what i did:
first off, i mounted the image, but the MRI exe didnt work, so!
i unmounted, open the image with power ISO, extracted all files into a folder, and my virus software would delete the MRI exe without telling me or warning me, so i had to turn it off, so once i turned it off, i re extracted the files, and i have all the files, i opened the MRi exe, and it worked.
so thats really all i can say to do. Good Luck  |

After you have Unrared the files, you`ll have an ISO file.
You need to burn this to CD using UltraISo or other ISO burner.
A good idea, would be to burn at x4 or x8 speed.
The files in my offer are not corrupted by me. There is a Winrar
recovery file and was tested before upload. |

This Version is Expired. I was referred to it because supposedly it is cracked, however when i boot to it, it will go through loading all files then when it shows the Geek Screen, it says this version has expired, please download new version. and it reboots. My Internet is OFF, so it's not checking home.
Now I rolled my time back to Feb 17th 2009 and it booted fine, so the Crack is in fact NOT working now.

All you need to do is to set your TIME back in your BIOS before booting to the MRI CD. It works great

It took a bit, but I figured out to reset the clock to before the program expired. And it does indeed work! Thank you so much for your advice. I guess that's why you are a good member and I'm a newbie! LOL
Will this trick work on ANY timed protected program? |
