The NuVJ is the perfect tool for DJs who want to synchronize video with their musical performance. The NuVJ is the result of the combined expertise of Numark and ArKaos to create a hardware/software product that is a natural extension of the DJ set up.

The NuVJ lets you incorporate images and video clips in much the same way as mixing music, add effects to them, mix them through an onboard DJ style crossfader and tweak them in order to create unique and spectacular shows.

The hardware controller works seamlessly with existing DJ gear and comes with a dedicated video mixer software that is compatible with most computers and laptops. The NuVJ is simply easier, better and more affordable than any other VJ product on the market.

- New fully multi-threaded engine
- Internal codec for optimal decompression of several video formats (including QuickTime Photo-JPEG, DV, M-JPEG, and much more)
- New Flash Player (based on the same plugin than Netscape/FireFox/Safari)
- Audio-reactive Flash animations support (NuVJ sends audio input data to flash: bass level, medium, high, 9 bands spectrum, BPM etc).
- Audio input gain control useful for generators, audio-reactive flash and BPM detection
- Movie deinterlacing option (right click a movie in the library for this option)
- Movie loop selection. You can set the in/out points in the parameter panel.
- Advanced luminance/chrominance keying controls
- New visuals panel that displays the movie player involved, the codec, the resolution

Mac:

- New live-feed capture service based on QTKit Capture on MacOS 10.5. Advantages: high resolution input support, DV camera quality is better, you can use multiple DV camera at the same time (was not possible with old QuickTime sequence grabber component)

Bug fixes:

- Mac: fixed a compatibility with some audio input devices
- Mac: fixed a problem with some effects and chroma/luma keying on some graphic cards
- Windows: fixed an important problem when starting fullscreen on windows in exclusive mode (when "Force Resolution" option in display preferences is on)
- Fixed a bug with folder player when used on decks A & B at the same time.
- Mac: Doule clicking a NuVJ file on Mac now works properly
