Hi there.

Can anyone tell me how to unpack a dll. file that is asprotected. It is called "x.dll." I have a program called "PATCH FACTORY 3". (this dll. file contains all the trial and registration info) I unpacked the dll. file manually and dump it. Up to this point no problem. Here start the problem. You open the import-reconstructor and you won't find the file there because you can't run the file like an exe. In other words, how must i run the dll. file so that the reconstructor can open it. Not one of the unpackers i have can do it.

Hope you make some sense out of this.

Loekie.

On import reconstructor you have a button "pick dll" try it.

Hi there MiStEr_X.

I have done so without success. When i pick the dll. file you can see it is added at the log of reconstructor, but it still say "invalid oep". I use the oep that i coppied when i dumped the file from OLLY. The problem might be with the format of the dumped dll. it doesn't look like a dll. file when i dump it, but is a square block.
I will play around with it and see if i get somewhere with it.

Thanks and greets.

I'm guessing it's my link that's down. I've updated now, however...

I would try 'googling' for a later version because the post is fairly dated now & there's probably newer releases, I'm not too sure!

(having said that, you might not be refering to my post) Smile
Regards...
