I still think AMD have got it right atm, intel just seems to.... commercelised atm i think. But my main reason is because AMD has proven more reliable then INTEL, for instance with these vids u can find on yourtube comparing the two processors. They run them both with same hardware etc, thenwhile playing a game they remove the CPU fan, Amd closes the pc down straightaway while intel continues to play and not losing much of its performance.
if it was my pc, i would prefer it to shut down/crash so i know something has gone wrong instead of it frying itself then it costs money.. which i dont like doing much
thats my reason for liking AMD, dependable + reliable. Never had to replace an AMD processor in my pc.
I guess it really just comes down to preference.
I also agree with PIRANIME aboutthe 64bit issue. 64bit is going to be the way eventually i mean, i use one myself! and nothing but good has come from it. |

| Intel all the way at the moment, the Q6600 is an incredible chip, it will overclock amazingly well with a £12 HSF. AMD haven't really brought anything out which can really compete with Intel's aggressive stance, the Phenom X4's are a good step in the right direction though. And when Intel releases Nehalem, AMD are gonna get demolished, unless Fusion turns out to be ludicrously fast. The cheaper AMD stuff isn't bad if you're on a budget though. |

| At this current time Intel has the better processor line up. But things are always changing in the world of technology! |

Intel is the Best, but AMD is the BEAST. I don't know when AMD will "strike back" Intel again like AMD Athlon64 vs Intel Pentium D. But I'm sure someday AMD will kick Intel's ass like old time.. hehehehe.. |
