Final Fantasy X (ファイナルファンタジーX, Fainaru Fantajī Ten?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) as the tenth installment in the Final Fantasy series. It was released in 2001 for Sony's PlayStation 2. The game marks the Final Fantasy series' transition from entirely pre-rendered backdrops to fully three-dimensional areas, and is also the first in the series to feature voice actors. Final Fantasy X replaced the Active Time Battle (ATB) system with the new Conditional Turn-Based Battle (CTB) system, and introduced the "Sphere Grid" leveling system.
Set in the fantasy world of Spira, the game's story centers around a group of adventurers and their quest to defeat a rampaging force known as "Sin". Players follow Tidus, a 17 year old blitzball star who, along with several others, aids Yuna on her pilgrimage to summon the "Final Aeon" and destroy Sin.
Development of Final Fantasy X began in 1999, with a budget of more than US$32.3 million and a team of more than 100 people. The music for the game was for the first time in the series not entirely scored by Nobuo Uematsu; Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano were signed as Uematsu's fellow composers.
Final Fantasy X was both a critical and commercial success. It was voted by the readers of the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu to be the greatest video game of all-time. As of January 20, 2004, the game has sold around 6.6 million units worldwide. In 2003, it was followed by a direct sequel; Final Fantasy X-2.
(All above was takened from Wikipedia.)
____________________________________________________________
This is an INTERNATIONAL version which means it was released in PAL regions and everywhere else except NTSC/American users.
This version of Final Fantasy X has exclusives that the original NTSC (American) version doesen't have. It has:
~ An option to use either the normal sphere grid or an entirely different one (for advanced users).
~ Option to have either Japanese or English subtitles, menus, and voices.
~ Have the option to fight the Superboss, Penance.
~ Have the option to fight Dark Versions of the Aeons. (Sort of like what you do on Final Fantasy X-2.)
_____________________________________________________________
The set of options that appear after selecting new game
Since these options are writing in Japanese, not everybody will be able to understand them, this is what they mean:
1)Which sphere grid you want to use:
A)Original Sphere Grid (Original Sphere Grid from FFX)
B)International Sphere Grid (New Sphere Grid that allows you to fully customize your characters easily)
2)Are you sure you want to start the game with the Original Sphere Grid / International Sphere Grid?
A)Yes
B)No
You CAN'T change the type of Sphere Grind during the game, so choose carefully.
3)Which language do you prefer?
A)Japanese
B)English
Your choice here, affects the language in which the subtitles, game menus,
etc, will be in. (The voice-overs are in English only.)

To play this, you NEED to:
~ Burn on DVD-R with slowest burning speed available (Make sure DVD-R is GOOD, QUALITY media). Then play it on your PS2 using either Swap Magic or Modchip. (Note: Burning Swap Magic won't work so don't try. That was only intended for those who don't know.)
OR...
~ Install a Memory Card Exploit called Free MC Boot (Or Independance Exploit. Google on how to do so. I will not explain how to here.)
Or...
Have a REALLY good PC (High End-type) and play it via the PS2 Emulator.
Do not download if you have none of these options to play it as you will be wasting your time. Unmodded PS2s do not play burned/backed up games.
