I seem to be having the same problem as Zeroed. Is the order listed the order of release? I would expect the tut on the Standard Armadillo to be a bit easier then the one with the Debug-Blocker....

| The order of release is correct. The tutorial on Debug-Blocker is the 1st since it shows how to set Olly, it's plugins & the breakpoints on selected APIs. As for the level of difficulty, "Debug-Blocker" (in my opinion) still is the easiest since it doesn't throw a fake "Magic Jump" at you every now & then, a point higlighted in the "Standard" tutorial. |

ChOoKi,
Have a question for you m8 was wondering I'm working through Tutorial #5 which is using the game Puzzaz. What is messing me up I go through and set all the hardware breaks and when I go through to reset the jump the code seems to be rewriting itself somehow because the hardware break I'm setting is no longer the jump it's turned into a Test ESI,ESI?!? Which really messes with your head because I've deleted the break and found the jump again with a different number and reset the hardware break just to end up with another Test ESI line of code instead of the actual jump line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-JRoGue
EDIT: Nevermind I redid it for the hundredth time but even faster this time through and for some reason it worked out great everything hit right where it was supposed to hit! Thanks again for the tut's m8 I'm actually learning allot of great info |

Fixing the magic jump by changing the JE into JMP needs to be done in short amount of time otherwise the protection detect the change. Use keyboard keys for faster results. e.g:
At the magic jump use:
Spacebar: to bring up the Assemble window.
Arrow Keys
Enter: instead of clicking "OK"
Esc: instead of clicking "Cancel"
Shift+F9: To run.
More keyboard shortcuts here:

ChOoKi would you happen to know of another file I can use for #6 the Armadillo version used is 4.66 or something but the tutorial is wanting 5. something. I downloaded a few other files and tested them but could not find one to use in its place. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Makes no sense why they would change the protection from one version to a lessor on the same program even though it is a bit older now.
Thanks m8

That tutorial was about unpcking Armadillo 5.xx with overlay, the target was provided by LCF-AT and I believe it was obtained from this link (German):
http://www.jochenkaercher.de/pinguin-versus-yeti.htm
As for other sites (English) that uses similar protection try:

All the tuts I released (so far ) on how to unpack Armadillo 4.xx-4.66 manually, further tuts will only be posted here.
Notes:
1-Tuts are best viewed using the free software SWF Player (set on Full Screen), get it from:
http://www.browsertools.net/downloads/SWFOpenerSetup.exe
2-If this is your first time unpacking, follow the tuts by the order of release (steps would be skipped as the tuts progress).
3-If you wish to mirror the download links, be my guest, you are only helping others in getting them. (just make sure you 'Hide' them or someone will remind you ).

I used ArmaG3ddon v1.5.1
Not sure if Armadillo Overlays are still there.
Something is though!!! I used many tools - says overlay only.
But when I try to use Ollydbg (Cheat Ulitily v1.0) Or cheatengine.
It crashes game or hides values.
The game works fine have played it for an hour or so, only crahes sometimes when the game detects olly or cheatengine I think.
Just seems the game blocks me or makes so the values can't be changed.
Below is a link to the files if you can help me repair or start over and remove and unpack it the correct way.
Thank you for any help.. This game is really fun, if I could cheat a little
if you can reupload to mediafire that would be great. Thanks again.
I Think I posted this right This Time....?

Where is the best place to get the sample files for the Debug blocker tutorial? I think im doing the tutorial with the wrong version files.
I noticed the file sizes in your video and the version I dowloaded from big fish were different. I get "dont know how to bypass command " exception when I attempt to break at return from OpenMutexA as shown early in the turorial. Olly never reaches the breakpoint even though ive added the exception to the ignorre list.
Im using ollydbg v1.10. Is that correct?
Lastly bitdefender says arma intruder 0.4 is a trojan wherever I download it from. Is it safe to ignore.?
thanks again for the tutorials, ch0oki. |

Mostly its due to how up to date are the tools used and their settings. BigFish haven't changed anything in their protection, so even if the file sizes are different, the method applied would still be the same.
As for your concerns to reported trojans in some tools, well I can't tell to trust these reports or not, instead, check your message box for tools I use myself and if still have doubts, well, not much I can do really . |
