| I think overall it has to be a player like Ben Roethlisberger or Donovan McNabb. I know you'll think this is pretty crazy, but I admire their grit and guile much more than the skill and precision of players like Manning or Brady. The way they lead their team with example and hard work is much more enjoyable to watch than the knowledge of Manning. That is my personal opinion, and I think they deserve a lot more recognition than they get. |

In American Football, I believe the Quarter Back is the guy who gets thrown the ball from the ruck thing and then throws it on to a runner, or goes to run himself. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. Soccer is completely different to American Football; I don't think you could compare the roles. In rugby though, I suppose they could be compared with the dummy half and scrum half (weird names, yes ). |

Philip Rivers - Go Chargers! Anyways.. Payton Manning ended his season last Saturday by taking a knee and the Chargers won in overtime... Payton may have gotten the MVP of the league.. But Philip had the better quarterback rating. It's a shame he's not going to the pro-bowl even though he is the best rated QB in the NFL.
...and Dack, you are right.. The quarterback usually throws the ball. In sailing terms, he's the skipper. |

It has to be Peyton. Brady is a good QB but the Patriots are an all around great team with great coaching staff just look at what Matt Kassel was able to do when Brady got injured. Peyton started his career with nobody and has built the Colts into what they are and even when players like Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison or Dallas Clark are out theres Peyton week in week out pulling victorys out his a@#. Also he is the last true QB, he calls all most his own plays in that offense. Has to be Peyton.
And all this coming from a Raiders fan. |
