iMovieHD 6
Responding to criticism on iMovie '08, Apple released iMovie HD 6 as a free download to those who had purchased iMovie '08. However, Apple has just recently removed the page on their site that would allow you to download this free program.
iMovie HD 6 has many features that iMovie '08 disbanded, such as the classic timeline, the ability to create DVD chapter markers, support for plugins, and in-timeline audio adjustment and control.
iMovie HD System Requirements
Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G4, G5, or Intel Core processor
256 MB of RAM (512 MB recommended)
Mac OS X 10.3.9 or Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later; Mac OS X v10.4.4 required for iMovie themes, real-time effects, and audio effects
High-definition video (HDV) requires 1GHz G4 or faster and a minimum of 512MB of RAM
iTunes 6.0.2 or later and QuickTime 7.0.4 (included with iLife ’06) or later
Publishing video podcasts, blogs and web pages via iWeb requires Internet and webserver access (.Mac recommended). The .Mac service is available to persons age 13 and older. Annual membership fee and Internet access required. Terms and conditions apply
To use all the iMovie HD 6 features (like themes and "real time" effects) a Quartz Extreme compatible graphics card is required.

| I got it to download, though, it says i can't install because i don't have ilife 08, is there any way to get around that? |

| In order to install this without the full iLife program you need a little but excellent program called Pacifist. This will install the package fully. |
