A lot of people on other forums are having problems with the keygen and receiving an EAccessViolation error.

I tried a number of suggestions, but this is what finally worked for me on Vista32 SP1:

1. Enable the "Real" Vista Administrator Account:
   
   
   
   • Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then right-click cmd and select Run as administrator.
     
   • Type the following in the command prompt and press Enter after:
     
     net user administrator /active:yes
     
   
   
2. Logoff and then logon as "Administrator"
   
3. Go to install directory\plug-in suite 4\ and run License Manager.exe and choose phone activation.
   
4. Run the keygen and copy/paste the 15 digit code into the field in the License Manager
   
5. Logoff and log back in to your regular account

So the problem lies in the fact that the GRB keygen is relying on microsoft’s C++ and .NET framework to use existing dlls to execute codes for use with the ASTSRV background service. Because the keygen is accessing multiple dlls in the systems software, all the protection software (Antivirus, Firewall and Spysweeper) is working in tandem to reset the changes made by the GRB program before it finishes its code generation.

I’m pretty sure that everyone having this problem has a set of Antivirus, Spyware and Firewall programs up and running, and that you have cleaned the registry a million times, me too!

But here’s the fix: a “You Should Have Had A V8” moment…

1. Make sure that you do have the 2005 C++ Redistributable pack and have a .NET Framework 2.0 or greater loaded. (I backtracked to 2.0 from 3.5 just to be safe)

2. Download a fresh ASTSRV file from
