You are right. It seems to work for the moment without Hair module. I think this Standard softimage alone. But if you want to use the Hair menu, you'll need to uninstall/ reinstall the software then choose middle option (Advanced) when installing. Use the patch for 32bit only.
I hope this should work but if not, I will keep on looking for more.
