Hi, I've never seen a keygen for games like call of duty 2, age of empires 3, and such....
Cracked versions sure, but an actual keygen.. never.
Why?
Is it impossible to reverse the serial checking software in these games? (Not talking about internet components of the game(s)) |

Mostly because there is no point. Developers these days add keys that they release into a database so if you bought the game the key will be in the database and you will be able to play the game online. All other keys will not work online because they are not in the database so crackers don't bother. They will release the game crack with a serial and thats it. There is no need for a keygen.
Also there are serial protections that a key generator cannot be made for but they are very rare. Because all that one needs is a valid key and a keygen can be made.

True, but if you made a keygen couldn't you then analyze the packets being sent to the games online servers to determine how the protocol works and when the serial is sent.. then code a program to "brute force" it by pretending to be the game and sending the serials to the server until the server answers back with a "thanks for purchasing our game enjoy your time online message".
Or am I just a retard? |

Thanks for replies. And thanks for the keygen website... I guess there are keygens for these games and I was mistaken. I used google to conduct my searches and a lot of the time I'd find programs claiming to be keygens that were viruses. I actually have a good virus on my computer right now because of it lol. I've been trying to get rid of it for a few hours now...
Anyways... Thanks for info. Now I'll just work on making a keygen for age of empires 3  |

but take care though many keygens ARE viruses and Trojans so if you are
desperate run it on another less 'important' computer and copy a few
keys down lol.
