Hi everyone! I just joined and I noticed that most the keygen me's and tutorials are for programs that have a name and a serial input. How would you make a keygen for a program with just a serial input?
Thanks In Return,
Upsol!
P.S. I wanna make allot of contributes for this forum. |

Just Make Sure The Program Follows The "Rules" For The Generation
Of The Serial.
Hope This Helped

No worries, it does.
Edit: Wait do you mean rules for the forum, or rules for how generating keys work, lol. |

Ok, I will just stick with the Name/Serial tutorials for now, but if anyone knows where a tutorial is, or something, for just a serial; I would appreciate it.
Also wouldn't a keygen with just a serial generator be different then a keygen with a name/serial generator, because the serial in a name/serial generator is based on the name, while the serial in a serial only generator would be based on something else. What would it be based on if there is no name? |

I mean like the ones with the serial inside the box. Like you buy this thing, you open it up, and theres a serial right there inside it. That can't be based off you're computer, because you just bought it. So do they just make a long list of billions of keys and set them into the program, and then hand one out at a time inside the boxes or what? I have seen keygens for programs like these before, but does anyone know how they work? |

no they might look for combinations of letters or numbers which equals
something.
for example the first 5 characters of the serial added up or some sort of
calculation must equal 28 or something..
there are many combos..
hope this helps. |

Let's say your MAC address is 00-01-02-03-04-0A
and your harddrive ID is 1234-FFCC
now by doing simple conversion it coud make serial like this:
00010203040A-1234F-FCC
this is just a oversimplified example but what SK ment was that one can
use many things that make your PC unique, from serial number of your
cpu, bios properties, hardware names/serials of any kind pluged in your
pc etc.. |
I get what he meant now, thanks.

Ah, yes this does help. So it's kind of like creating a keygen for a game with a name/serial. (Almost sounds easier, in fact ) You just have to find the equation that each part of a serial would equal too. Is this correct? If it is, I am going to try to make a nice tutorial or something to help other people, once I manage to get it down. |

You betcha, pal! First I gotta nail it down, because I'm pretty new to this.
So what is the best programing language for newbies like me to compile it all with? Delphi, C++, ASM; or is it best to learn them all. (If so, which one should I learn first) |

If your going for a tutorial, just analyze the algorithm and write pseudo code. Then it should be easily translated to any language..
C++ is always good to start with, though ASM isn't bad to go with first either. Either way I'd recommend learning them both. |

Thanks zart! I think I will start with C++. Delphi looks kind of nice. Is it C++ though? |
